Microlift Deep Plane of the Lower Face and Neck with Upper Blepharoplasty

Patient, 64 years old Result after 9 months In-clinic surgical center
The Primary Concern

The patient came to Dr. Marcelo primarily concerned about sagging in the jawline and neck, and excess skin on her upper eyelids. Although she also showed signs of aging in the upper face, these were the areas most affecting her appearance and driving her interest in surgery.

The Indication

Since her main concerns were concentrated in the lower face, neck, and upper eyelids, the indication was to prioritize these areas at this stage.

Although there was an indication for broader facial rejuvenation, the plan respected the patient's goals, preserving the option to complement treatment of the upper face in the future, should there be an indication or a wish to do so on her part.

Surgical Access

Upper blepharoplasty was performed through the natural crease of the upper eyelids.

For the lower face and neck, access was made starting at the earlobe, running discreetly behind the ear.

This approach allowed the indicated areas to be treated while keeping scars discreet.

The Surgical Rationale

It isn't always necessary to treat the entire face in a single procedure.

In this patient's case, although there was an indication for broader rejuvenation, her main concerns were concentrated in the jawline, neck, and upper eyelids. For this reason, the plan prioritized these areas, addressing what truly made a difference to her at that stage.

This approach also preserves the option to complement treatment of the upper face in the future, should the patient feel the need or should there be an indication for it.

More than following a protocol, the plan was built around the patient's priorities, respecting her features and her goals.

Result Over Time

The photographs shown on this page were taken approximately nine months after surgery.

By this point, the tissues had gone through most of the healing and settling process, showing a result consistent with the surgical plan.
