Complete Microlift and Blepharoplasty
Case Report: Patient presenting with a desire to rejuvenate the eyes, face, and neck.
Patient: Female, 65 years old
Procedure: Complete Deep Plane Microlift and Blepharoplasty
Recovery: 6 months post-operative
1. Blepharoplasty (Eye Rejuvenation)
Ísis wished to rejuvenate her eye, face, and neck region, addressing excess skin, laxity, and expression lines. The procedure was performed at the clinic under local anesthesia and sedation.
We began with upper and lower blepharoplasty, which removes excess skin, treats fat pads, and adjusts eyelid musculature, with the objective of providing a lighter and more youthful gaze.
2. Deep Plane Microlift (Face)
Next, we performed a complete Microlift. Through discreet incisions from the earlobe backward, we worked below the SMAS ('support network' for facial muscles and structures) or Deep Plane, repositioning deep tissues to redefine the neck, jawline, and marionette lines.
3. Eyebrow Lift & Submentum (Contour)
Incisions were also made in the scalp to release deep tissues and elevate the malar region (cheekbone), softening grooves like the nasolabial fold. To complete this, we released and elevated the lateral eyebrow, attenuating fine lines around the eyes.
In the submental region (under the chin), we removed excess fat localized under the platysma (superficial neck muscle) and reinforced the cervical contour with muscle suturing.
4. TCA Peel (Skin Texture)
We finished with a TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peel on the lower eyelid, which aids in improving texture and reducing the 'crepey' appearance of the skin.
5. Result and Recovery
Recovery was smooth, with a natural and harmonious result.
