Deep Plane Microlift and Blepharoplasty

Case Report: Patient presenting with facial laxity and excess eyelid skin.

Patient: Female, 49 years old

Procedure: Deep Plane Microlift and Blepharoplasty

Recovery: 4 months post-operative

1. Initial Complaint & Blepharoplasty

Roselane presented with complaints of neck laxity, excess skin around the eyes, and loss of facial contour definition. The procedure was performed at the clinic under local anesthesia and sedation.

We began with upper and lower blepharoplasty to remove excess skin, treat fat pads, and perform adjustments on the eyelid musculature, seeking the rejuvenation of the gaze.

2. Deep Plane Microlift (Face/Neck)

Next, we performed a complete Deep Plane Microlift, accessing the Deep Plane through discreet incisions from the earlobe backward and below the SMAS, repositioning deep tissues to redefine the neck, jawline, and marionette lines.

3. Mid and Upper Face

We also made incisions in the scalp to release and lift the tissues of the mid-face region, elevating the cheekbones and softening deep grooves like the nasolabial fold.

To improve the upper third of the face, we released and elevated the lateral eyebrows, also softening fine lines around the eyes.

4. Contour (Submentum) & Peel

In the submental region (under the chin), subplatysmal fat was removed and the platysma muscle was sutured, with the objective of creating a firmer cervical contour.

The procedure was finished with a TCA peel on the lower eyelid, aiding in the improvement of skin texture and its 'crepey' appearance.

5. Result and Recovery

Recovery was smooth, and Roselane achieved a natural and harmonious rejuvenation.
