Microlift Deep Plane

The Microlift Deep Plane is a surgical procedure developed to reposition deep facial structures in a controlled manner, helping to realign tissues and enhance facial contour. This minimally invasive approach aims to restore the functionality of the skin and underlying tissues, while respecting each patient's unique anatomical features.

Developed through years of experience and research, this innovative technique offers a modern alternative to the traditional facelift, particularly suited for individuals with mild to moderate facial sagging.

Unlike conventional facelifts, this advanced method can be performed under local anaesthesia with light sedation, ensuring greater safety and a faster recovery time—always following strict medical criteria.

How Does It Work?

The Microlift Deep Plane directly targets the deep facial tissue layers, enabling precise repositioning of both muscular and skin structures. The technique involves controlled dissection of the deeper planes, including the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) and facial muscles, enhancing tissue support and firmness.

Who Is It For?

This procedure is recommended for individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity on the face and/or neck who seek improved tissue support without undergoing extensive surgery. The Microlift Deep Plane is individually planned to address each patient’s specific structural and functional needs, focusing on areas such as the midface, temples, neck, and under-chin region—with a medically responsible approach.

Results and Scars

Expected results vary according to the areas treated:

  • Midface: Improves sagging and repositions cheek tissues.
  • Temporal Region: Lifts the brows.
  • Neck: Reduces sagging, removes excess skin, and enhances the jawline contour.
  • Nasolabial Fold: Softens deep folds between the cheeks and mouth area.
  • Submental Area: Refines the jawline and reduces fat and loose skin beneath the chin (submental fullness).

It is essential to understand that the Microlift does not produce permanent results. Factors such as weight fluctuations, sleeping habits, sun exposure, skincare routine, and lifestyle choices will affect outcomes over time.

Is Microlift done in the Deep Plane? Understand the difference between a traditional facelift and the Microlift Deep Plane.
What’s the difference? Both the Microlift and the traditional Deep Plane Facelift act on the deep layers of the face. The difference lies in the surgical access: the Microlift uses a smaller and more strategically placed incision.
Where is the scar located? Unlike the conventional facelift, the Microlift places the scar behind the ear and within the hairline, ensuring greater discretion and a more comfortable recovery.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a delicate surgical procedure targeting the eyelid region, with a primarily functional focus. Its main objective is to restore the visual field and, above all, preserve ocular health.

The surgery can remove excess skin from the upper and/or lower eyelids, eliminate fat pads, reposition tissues, and correct functional issues such as lagophthalmos (inability to fully close the eyes) or ectropion (outward turning of the eyelid). In many cases, blepharoplasty significantly improves eye comfort and protection.

Surgical Indications

Blepharoplasty is indicated for patients with changes in the eyelids. Common indications include:

  • Excess Skin Removal, which may cause upper eyelid folds that affect the natural eye contour and, in advanced cases, impair the visual field.
  • Fat Pad Removal that creates a persistent swollen or tired appearance around the eyes.
  • Correction of Droopy Eyelids, lagophthalmos, or ectropion, which compromise eye protection and may lead to irritation or dryness.
  • Tissue Repositioning to enhance eyelid symmetry and redistribute volume around the eyes.
  • Improvement of Eye Function, providing greater ease of blinking and enhanced defence against external aggressors.
Scars and Surgical Techniques

Scars from blepharoplasty are typically discreet and strategically placed, becoming virtually unnoticeable over time. The chosen technique depends on the patient's anatomical needs:

  • Upper Eyelids: the incision is made in the natural crease of the eyelid, allowing the scar to be hidden when the eyes are open.
  • Lower Eyelids:
    • Subciliary Technique (external): the incision is made just below the lower lash line, resulting in a fine, well-camouflaged scar.
    • Transconjunctival Technique (internal): the incision is made on the inside of the lower eyelid, ideal for fat pad removal without external scarring.

Both approaches typically allow for a quick recovery, with results stabilising in the first few weeks and improving progressively over the following months.

Structure and Postoperative Care

We perform blepharoplasty in a highly controlled surgical environment, equipped with advanced technical resources and appropriate clinical support. Individualised attention and strict safety protocols are priorities throughout the entire process—from initial evaluation to postoperative recovery—ensuring patient comfort, precision, and peace of mind.
